I have used many wooden cutting boards through the years and had to get rid of many because of mold and stains. I never liked plastic boards because I thought they would ruin my knives, and some would have because of the cheap material used. However, this cutting board is a joy to use: the size is perfect for the dishwasher, lightweight enough to be picked up with one hand and transfer food to the pan, very steady and secure on the counter, and is a dream to clean. Does it get scratched from the blades? Yes, so did my wooden cutting boards, but now I don't have to work so hard in cleaning them. I got 2 (black & red) and also a prep board...prefect for slicing a tomato or a lemon. Best value for the price!Customer Review: Love it!

I bought this because we only had one polypropylene cutting board and we needed another one. What makes this OXO cutting board stand out from the rest is the red, rubberized edges, with little feet. Since the red edges are rubberized this prevents the cutting board from sliding across the counter during use. Our cutting boards are always out on the counter behind the knife block. I find myself reaching for this one rather than the older all the time. Of course, OXO makes good and very usable products. This one is no different.Customer Review: Great Cutting Board

We have several cutting boards made of wood, and some of plastic, but honestly this is the nicest we own. The rubber end and the indents on both ends to help keep your counter clean really make this a stand out. I know it sounds funny, but really the rubber ends keep the cutting board from moving even when cutting a heavy roast, and the catches at each end keeps the juices from what ever your cutting from ending up on your counter top.
A great buy we love ours.

Well-designed and well-made. Like the colors, keeping separate boards for veggies, meats, etc. The little feet keep the board steady and stable.
One person mentioned excessive noise because the board stands a bit above the counter. She/he must be some wicked hard chopper - never hear a sound.
Overall, a great cutting board. Going to buy some more and pitch the other boards.

I recently purchased the above mentioned cutting boards, at first I was surprised that the small cutting board was so "small", but believe it or not, its the one I reach for a lot since I am always cuttting up veggies, apples, even cutting a bagel. So I did get past my disappointment in the size! The boards are great and my family is using them as well. Thank you for a great product!
