I was hoping that Oxo had solved the problem of the label residue that others had commented about but they hadn't. My wife came up with the solution. Use nail polish remover to get adhesive off and then use BarKeepers Friend to clean it to look like it should.Customer Review: Works great, sticker was a bear to remove

I read the reviews, noticed the comments about the label but did I listen? Noooo. That would have been the smart thing to do. I paid the "stupid tax" for not learning from others.
The package arrived, and yes, there was a big honking label on one side. I ever-so-gently attempted to remove the sticker, but no matter what corner I attempted, the paper tore and a gluey, papery mess was left behind. I tried several ways to remove it before I began getting stern (plastic scrubber, hot soapy water, vinegar, even overnight freezing). I found success by lightly using a copper scrubber with hot soapy water. That still left a visible stain/residue on the surface. I then used CeramaBryte Stainless Steel cleaner and, voila! The stain is almost completely gone. If you look carefully, you can barely discern a faint outline of where the glue used to be. I know its there but I'm sure no one else will see it unless I point it out. I'll keep that little secret, thank you!
Ironically, after all the drama of removing that large label on the side, the small black barcode label on the bottom just peeled right off.
I like the product now but I wouldn't do it again. I have reported the issue to Oxo. I hope they take some action on this.
