I don't think it's fair to the product (especially of a sharp, cutting one) to give it a bad review and placing the fault on it, rather than the carelessness of those using it. People that are handling sharp objects should always be extra careful, whether it's this stripper or a knife. You wouldn't give a knife a bad review just because you cut yourself with it now would you? I happen to think this product is fantastic and yes, it is very sharp, but that's the point right!Customer Review: Happy Corn Eater

I heard of this product while in Canada eating Corn on the Cob..
This really works great.. For all the poor toothless people who cannot enjoy corn right off the cob, this is the nuts...
I wish I had one when my 96 year old Grandmother was still alive, it would have saved soo much time cutting off her corn. (she really liked fresh picked silver queen corn.. Enough rambling, just buy one..you will not be disappointed)

The Oxo Corn stripper is well-made and is fairly easy to use. It works fast and does an adequate job for those who don't like eating the corn on the cob. If you do not hold it correctly, however, it can come apart and spill the kernels. Also, there is the sharp cutter side which one has to be careful of. I don't know how I managed with out the corn stripper. It is fast easy to use. There is very little clean up. I would suggest placing the corn stripper in the middle of the cob and running the stripper to each end. Using a large bowl to strip the corn and empty the corn into makes clean-up alot easier. I will never go back to using a knife again.
