This product is easy to assemble and take apart to clean. I ordered it to make baby food and because it has 3 different blades have flexibility to increase texture while removing unedible portions for my baby. It has been easy to clean by hand and like that every so often I can put it in the dishwasher to sterilize it. The handle is easy to grip and the adjustable legs make it convenient to put over any bowl.Customer Review: highly recommended

I purchased this mill with the intentions of making baby food. So far it has worked great for banana puree, mango and other soft, ripe fruits. I would recommend the product over the smaller, strictly-for-baby-food mills because of its capacity for making large batches, and for it's higher quality/durability. It is fun and easy to use, and it makes a great tomato puree for a most excellent marinara!Customer Review: Great food mill

After owning other food mills, I am so happy with this Oxo product. It's easy to use and to clean. The 3 legs that fold are ingenious. The applesauce came out to a perfect consistency with the medium disk. The pressure on the handle is exactly proportioned to use easily. No more skins to get caught, or apples that won't smash!
Would be good for making baby food for my new grandson.

I had heard that only the food mills with interchangeable disks are worth buying. After using this product I can see the logic of that advice. The disk with the largest holes is the one you will use since it does not completely break down the food into mush the way a food processor would. This particular food mill is well made. After reading many reviews, I decided on the Oxo food mill and have not been disappointed. My first attempt was making a tomato sauce. My two year old grandson wanted to help so I let him turn the handle while I made sure he didn't upset the pot. It was very easy for him to use. As well as being very easy to clean. Can't wait to try other recipes.
