Normally, OXO products are great. I've never been dissatisfied with them. Until now. This brush just landed in the garbage can because the silicone bristles were breaking off into little bits. I noticed this when I cleaned the drawer where I store utensils. To make sure that the specs of silicone were from this brush, I gently picked at the end of the silicone strands. Sure enough, they formed a neat pile on the table below. I know I did not abuse the brush-it was practically new-with high heat. Now I am suspicious of all silicone basting brushes.
