Very good product. I use this only for chicken, which is one of the more stubborn meats to flatten. I fold plastic wrap around the chicken when flattening to help avoid mess.
The metal doesn't stick to the plastic, and it cleans VERY easily. The handle is comfortable, and the weight is heavy enough to do the job, yet light enough so that you don't fatigue as quickly.
Very good price on a very good product.

I've used it to break up chocolate, crush tortilla chips, and pulverize eggshells (for the garden). In fact, for everything except pounding meat. But I'm sure it will do a great job at that when I get around to trying it.
It's got plenty of heft, a comfortable handle, and just feels well-balanced.
Another OXO triumph.

Just got this meat pounder in the other day and couldn't wait to use it. Made some pork paillards and this baby had no trouble making a 1/2" thick tough chop into a 1/4" thick piece of tender loveliness. I have to say, I have been needing a meat pounder for a long time and this one is great. I used it on chicken and it did a great job with very little effort on my part. Plus is was very easy to clean, just some soap and water. I am very pleased with this item!
