I chose this product because it looks really nice, and I wanted a canister that would actually hold an entire 5-lb bag of flour or sugar. When you press down the button on top, you get an airtight seal and a totally rectangular shape.
One reviewer complained about cleaning the lid. I cleaned the unit as soon as I received it, and I thought it was no problem. There are only 3 parts to the lid that I can imagine wanting to take apart as long as I'm using this unit for dry storage (which seems to be its intended use). I don't think the pop-up mechanism is meant to be disassembled, nor do I think it needs to be. I'll just wipe it clean when I feel it's necessary. I just wanted to clarify that, since that review made me think twice about buying this product.

Trying to find a good, air-tight container has been a multi year long journey. I think I've tried them all and this product shines. The two we own have a perfect seal and are easy to use. The 4-Quart fits a 5 lb bag of flour or sugar perfectly. The top is flat so you can stack them (there is a ridge around the edge that fits the bottom of another pop container). The only other container that comes close is the Loc-N-Loc type. In my opinion, for the price, Loc-n-Loc containers are great, but opening and closing them can be a bit difficult. With the Oxo, I can easially open the container, even with "cooking" hands. My only concern with the Oxo-Pop is the button mechanism and how long it will last. I'll throw in that I wish would they were a bit cheaper.Customer Review: POP! WOW!

I love these containers. I filled one of the smaller ones with jelly beans and gave it for a house gift and the recipient was thrilled. I use the larger ones for flour and sugar and they are perfect - wide opening so it's easy to get a measuring cup in there, seals shut so everything stays fresh, easy to open with one hand like when you're talking on the phone while baking. I'll probably try some of the other sizes soon.Customer Review: So Easy to use!!

I bought two of the 4-quart size for my flour and sugar and then 2 of the 2.25 quart size for my brown sugar and powedered sugar. They are awesome!! So easy to use!! I washed them up first and they took a while to completely dry out after washing, but all worth it.
I am amazed at how easy it is to open and close them and still get a super tight seal!! No fighting to get the lid one!!

The only thing I don't like is that they can be fragile - don't drop it!
But if you can keep it from falling, it will last a long time and keep the stuff in it excellently. The seal really is quite magnificent, and the push button sealer/unsealer is genius.
Wonderful item. I use these to store flours and sugars, and they keep it perfectly.
