I read all the reviews on this product before my purchase. I was purchasing this particular size of container specifically for my brown sugar storage so one particular review bothered me. We just purchased the Oxo good grip 4 quart container and I have to say that we both think it's an excellent purchase. After reading some of the other reviews, I was a little worried about it arriving damaged, but the 2 containers arrived in good shape. Wonderful design and a really tight fit. Secure seal, lid comes apart for washing, the prefect sizes... what more could you ask for?
I love these containers! I use the 4qt for flour and sugar; 1.5qt for rice, powdered sugar and brown sugar; 2.25qt for cookies and buscuits, and plan to buy more.
I love these! They're worth every penny.

This is the perfect size for your 5 lb bag of flour and sugar. I like the wide mouth it is easy to pour and measure. The pop lid is probably a little more complex than I need (a simple snap on would have been fine for me) but I am ordering a couple more if that is any indication of their usefulness.Customer Review: food storage that is airtight and easy to use

These are the best food storage containers I have found. They are airtight, keep food fresh, are well made, don't break easily, and on top of all that, you can open and close them with one finger. Anyone with arthritis or weak hands will love these.
