Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of OXO Good Grips POP Square 1/3-Quart Storage Container

Customer Review: Great way to store dry goods
Summary: 4 Stars

I agree with the previous reviewer that it can be hard to tell how full is too full with these containers. A fill-line would be appreciated in future revisions of this product. The only other problem I have with this container is that putting it back together, after taking it apart for cleaning, can be a bit tricky. I was glad I ordered two of these; otherwise I wouldn't have figured how it went back together.

The ability to stack these is convenient, and the fact that they're transparent is quite helpful. I use mine for storing salt and the contents of a small box of baking soda (it fits perfectly). I will only buy this line of storage containers in the future for my dry goods. I'm quite pleased!

Customer Review: Great container, yet it is too fragile, a small bump and it cracked
Summary: 4 Stars

Great container, seals and air tight. yet it is too fragile, a small bump (fell 10" to the counter) and it cracked and had to be discarded

Customer Review: Storage Containers
Summary: 4 Stars

Has been an excellent purchase. Keeps our food fresh and bug-free. A little pricey and a bit bulky are the only down-sides.

Customer Review: Decent for dry storage, but not good for daily food storage
Summary: 3 Stars

PROS: Lid stays on

CONS: Uses too much head space in storage of this size
Giant pain to clean and therefore no good for regular food storage

Bottom line: I would only buy this style in this size if you intend to use it to store non-perishables and keeping the lid on is a big value to you.

I think the bigger containers of this style make sense, because one can store non-perishable dry goods, like flour or sugar etc in them and not have to worry often about washing them. The big bonus of the design is that the easy to operate button lid (seriously, my toddler can operate it) creates a vaccuum and wont fall off if you tend to pick these up from the top.

I give this size a 3 stars because the extra head space used up by the top mechanism really renders one this small just silly. Plus I dont have a ton of regularly stored dry goods in this size.

I made the mistake of trying to see if these could be used as regular food storage containers (you know, like to take a piece of lasagna to work for lunch) and found out quickly that they are a huge pain in the butt to clean.

Customer Review: Love the style but...
Summary: 3 Stars

look great in my cabinet and love the style, but they do crack easily. One of my boys accidentally shut the cabinet when one of the containers wasn't in all the way and it now has a big crack in it. Really like them, but they are a hard plastic and will crack very, very easily. Sizes are great and like the push-down tops, but definitely need to be careful with them. I'm sure that if one were accidentally dropped or knocked off the counter it would shatter...
