For years, we've put ice in a bowl or some other (really cheap looking) product. It was about time to purchase a good ice bucket that could go out for a casual party or an elegant one - if I ever get around to throwing one of those.
I've looked for awhile and was really pleased to find this bucket with the added bonus of coming with its own ice tongs.
Even though it is plastic, which I think is a bonus since you won't mind having it inside or out, it looks elegant. It has a nice finish, almost metallic at quick glance. The top pivots about 3/4 back so you never loose it or have to place it on a counter while getting ice.
This is a big bucket and should last for an entire party, well, depending on how many friends you have and how much they like to drink.
The tongs hook on the side and have teeth so they will grip the ice easily.
A great purchase that will last a long time.
