I was skeptical that there could be a significant difference in the performance of vegetable peelers, but this is a great tool! Well balanced and comfortable, with a super-sharp blade... it makes quick work of potatoes. It was rated really high by Cooks Illustrated... my wife has made some delicious recipes from that magazine so if they say it's good, it must be. She seems to like the feel and comfort of the grip. Admittedly this is the first peeler I've ever owned but holy hell does it work flawlessly. Cutting the skin off vegetables or fruit is effortless and cleanup takes no time at all. The blade sharpness, the handle, it's all perfect as far as I'm concerned. I'm a huge fan of the Oxo brand after using this.Customer Review: Works Like A Charm

This is the best peeler I have ever used. It feels nice and heavy in hand. Has a comfortable handle with a no-slip grip. Makes peeling lots of things at once go faster. The blade is very sharp and has lasted a long time. The eye removal too works very well too. I am now an OXO convert.Customer Review: Very Effective!

I used this peeler at someone else's house, and it worked so well that I decided that I wanted it for myself. The swivel feature makes it easy to peel anything, and the tip makes extracting potato eyes very easy. I appreciate the easy-to-grip handle. A "must-have" for the kitchen!
