My hands have severe carpal tunnel. It's generally painful for me to peel anything with a normal peeler. Using this one I found it to have a very sharp blade (with a removable plastic cover) and the handle fits well in my hand. The result for me was near zero pain when peeling! I love it! I really enjoy using this peeler. I also have the OXO straight peeler. The clear plastic guard that is provided should be supplied by the gross! It is too easy to misplace on a granite surface. Otherwise, it does a splendid job peeling virtually anything. I haven't tried it on butternut squash as yet. That will be the proof of the pudding.Customer Review: Great peeler!!

I bought this peeler for my wife to be. It's a little pricey, until you use it, and realize why you spent the money. The blades are sharp, and the peeling is smooth and precise. It's almost kind of fun to peel vegetables now, believe it or not. The handle is comfortable, and if this thing gives out, I would buy another. Great peeler!!Customer Review: great vegetable peeler

It seemed like it took forever for the Oxo Good Grips I-series peeler to come in - over a week past the expected delivery date. The peeler came in such a large box, too. But, that's not what this review is about! I love this peeler. It's really comfortable to use, it's sharp, and it does a remarkable job. I highly recommend it.Customer Review: My Favorite Peeler

The blade is wide which makes it quicker and easier to peel items. The handle is comfortable to hold while using. The rubber grip on the handle ensures you have good control. My hand doesn't get sore when peeling large volume of fruits or veggies. This is the first peeler I reach for in the drawer.
