Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of OXO Good Grips Seafood Picks, Set of 4Customer Review: Was exactly what I wanted! Summary: 5 Stars
The seafood picks were sturdy and fit really good in the hand. I'm very happy with the purchase.
Customer Review: a real crab fork Summary: 4 Stars
OXO is gradually filing in every possible kitchen gadget niche. This is a real crab fork (forget those stupid cocktail forks, they don't go up inside crab legs). I didn't give them 5 stars because I had an ancient crab fork I bought in Canada while travelling (right off of the restaurant waiter) that was just a little more effective. If I hadn't lost it I could give a better comparison.
Customer Review: Not bad Summary: 4 Stars
The steel finish on these picks are not matte (like in the photos) but shiny more like chrome. Cosmetically, over time they get scratched up when used to get into the nooks and crannies of hardshell crab. Functionally, though, they work well.
Customer Review: Oxo vs Zyliss seafood picks + Progressive seafood scissors Summary: 3 Stars
I really enjoy eating Dungeness crab here in San Francisco, peak season is NOW, December. The secret to picking all the meat out of the crab lies with the correct crab instruments. I've tried the Oxo seafood picks and also the Zyliss style. The Zyliss with its curved forked end is 'da best. And buy your self a pair of the "Progessive brand" seafood scissors and be ready to enjoy eating Dungeness crabs with minimal hassle. You may need two scissors because Dungeness crab aficionados will fight over them, really, been there witnessed it.
JMO!!!!
