It's small. It's cute. It's made of wood. It's also a spoon. It's the 1058023 Small Wooden Spoon and its f*cking amazing. I cannot begin to count the number of times that I have used this, my favorite utensil, to deliver the nourishment of a warm porridge from the bowl from whence it came up to my hungry lips. Anyone with a basic grasp of chemistry knows that unlike metal, wood is not a very good conductor. This means no more burnt lips, folks! Not even Satan himself could concoct something hot enough that would make this adorable little spoon burn your lips. Listen, I'm not a greedy man. All I require to live a content life is a woman that loves me, a martini glass filled to the brim with an alcoholic beverage of some sort, and a small wooden spoon with which to stir it. Ok ... so I may not be a wood working expert, but I think I am a fairly accomplished cook. I think this spoon is great! I was apprehensive about ordering it due to some of the really negative reviews, but I took a chance & am so glad I did. This spoon is a heavy-weight and seems to be well made. The size is perfect for my needs ... I can't imagine getting one any larger than this one. Granted I've only used it and hand washed it several times, but I see no wear and tear as of yet. If I find the spoon isn't durable in time, then I'll come back and edit this review. In the meantime, if you're looking for a nice, sturdy, heavy wooden spoon at a great price ... then look no further. I don't believe you'll be disappointed.Customer Review: Great Spoon, Great Quality

I purchased this spoon to replace some Mario Batali spoons that were of very poor quality. This Oxo brand spoon more than excels over those more expensive, and over rated spoons. It has a very smooth finish with a large, comfortable handle that reduces fatigue. It is the perfect size for most task. After few coats of mineral oil, the finish wears well with proper maintanace. The word "small" in the product description is an understatement. This is a normal sized spoon, right at 12" long. This wooden spoon is perfect. It has a nice wide handle to grip and a large base for stirring and scooping. It's also very smooth unlike some of the cheaper wooden spoons. "Small" is misleading though. I would call it "regular."
