Customer Review: Best spatter screen yet

I have had 2 spatter (splatter? I've seen both) screens made from wire mesh in a metal frame. This one from OXO far surpasses both (and, after removing the plastic handles form each of the old ones, they are now in the recycling bin...).
This one is much easier to clean. It contains the grease splatters just as well as the old screens, which means there is some that do escape. The folding handle works so well; I store this vertically in the cupboard with my round pizza pan behind baking sheets. And it fits all of my skillets, from the smallest (around 8") to the largest (maybe 14" or more).
Only one minus is that you do have to lift the screen up to see the food cooking. But, with the old screens, it was also necessary to lift the screen to turn or stir the food. With both designs there will be some cleanup afterward, but not nearly the amount had the screen not been used.
I put an old baking sheet on the stove beside the burners and place the splatter screen on it when I have to lift it to stir. And keep it horizontal, the handle does not lock into place (which really hasn't been a problem).
