I bought this for my daughter but had a chance to use it while I was there for a visit. I really really like this scale. It's very "user friendly" compared to the scale I own. ( Figures Mom always gets second best. :)
It is a huge plus to be able to fit a large bowl on this scale and pull out the digital readout to be able to see it.
Neeto! I do not know how accurate it was as I had nothing to compare it to.

I'm no chef and can barely boil an egg. I use this to keep diet on track, by keeping a log of food intake. It's easy to use and very accurate. I now have one I can use at the office. I weigh almost all foods from fruit to salads to sandwiches and then can easily measure the calories. I really like this scale. It is the easiest, most accurate one I've used. Recently received this scale. I've found that it is very accurate. Here are the other pluses:
*You can zero out the scale. Helps when you want to weigh something in a container. Put empty container on, hit zero, fill container and it gives the weight of the item you're weighing.
*Love that you can pull the display out!
*Easy to clean

I have purchased other food scales in the past but this scale surpassed them all. It is easy to use and accurate. You can measure in ounces or grams. The numbers are large enough to see without a struggle. It zeros easily so you can keep adding ingredients. I bought this scale after reading the reviews and I couldn't be more happy with it. At work, I use a more expensive gram scale and standard weights and this Oxo scale is accurate. Like others have said, if you are looking for gem quality or archery quality scales, where you need tenths of a gram or grains, this isn't it. If you are looking for one to weigh food, postage, and bike parts than get this one.
