This is a very good cheese slicer. Works flawlessly. The simplicity of design makes it reliable and easy to work with. The large grip makes it easy on the hands to use for a long time. I use it to slice mozarella prior to baking pasta. I get the moz in a small brick and I can convert it to slices in no time at all. You simply adjust the angle of the slice to adjust the thickness of the slice. It is quite easy to get the hang of it for consistent fast slicing of soft cheese.
The tension adjustment on the wire is very handy as well. I loosen it up a bit before putting it into the dishwasher or drawer to keep the wire from breaking. The fact that the wires are easily replaceable (and it comes with a few replacements) is a big plus. I am very happy with this cheese slicer.
