Strong and beautiful, this press has grates large enough so that the garlic isn't turned into goo. As I squeeze with one hand I guillotine with a knife in the other as the garlic extrudes. Nice recognizable bits. Perfect for me.
Easy to clean, seemingly indestructible it will indeed multi-task as an ersatz numchuck/blackjack for those jobs where a 14" pan or 10" knife are a bit much.

I've broken so many garlic presses, I figured out exactly what was missing... everything this one has. First, you could roll over it with a truck. Second, the grating is *real* thick so it won't ever break (this is where all my old ones broke, the garlic actually snapped the press grids out!). What a champion, I'll be passing this one down to the grandkids in 50 years, no doubt.Customer Review: an excellent buy

bought 8 months ago and i simply love this garlic press. not only it looks smart, it's very heavy and does it's job effectively. the rubber lining on the handles provide proper grip.
i use it for pressing ginger too while making hot ginger tea (without any smell of garlic as it cleans up easily and thoroughly).
will recommend it to everybody.

This press is sturdy, well made, and well finished. Another reviewer has suggested slicing the extruded garlic from the press with a paring knife, and I find this to be excellent when I need ground Garlic. The cleaning feature, applied under a flowing water tap, leaves the tool ready to air dry and put away. This gadget is good enough for the Snap On tool label.Customer Review: great garlic press

This is a wonderful garlic press! You can fit many small cloves or a couple of large cloves in and easily press, saving time. The cleaner is attached so cleaning the press is very easy. The handles have a nice grip, rounded on the sides but flat whrere it fits in the palm of your hand. It is very heavy duty and seems like it will last a long time.
