I registered for all the Oxo Good Grips Storage containers for my wedding. I was so excited to get them! I loved the pop down top, which is so much simpler than the ones I have now that sometimes do not seal properly. However, when I started to use these new storage containers there were a few things that helped me decide to return them. First, when you wash them, water gets trapped in the lid between the pop up button and suction area. When I attempted to dry the lids, water kept dripping out. I don't know for sure, but over time that could lead to a stinky container. Also, the neat lids take up a lot of the room in the actual container. When I tried to put flour into the proper container, the lid would not seal because the lid was too thick. You need to leave a good inch at the top in order to close the container...and that inch is a lot a space when you are using the smallest containers. Lastly, when I took some more flour out of the container so that I could seal it, flour poofed out of the container when I pushed down the button. That was when I decided to return my new gift. I tried repushing the button and each time some flour came out of the container when the vacuum tight seal button was pressed. I would not recommend this product although it does seem really neat at first glance!
