Customer Review: I can't live without this essential Kitchen Tool!!! Summary: 5 StarsBought this about a year ago. I could not imagine life without it now. It's great to help me sautee veggies in my wok, as well as turn seared meats on my cast iron grill pan. I use it to remove items from the toaster oven as well with ease. This is the single most used utensil in my drawer. Come to think of it, I should probably get another pair...

Customer Review: My favorite tongs for nonstick pans - wonderful wonderful wonderful! Summary: 5 StarsI'm in love with using tongs for cooking. It's so easy to pick up and turn things with tongs - from hot dogs, pieces of chicken, slices of bacon, etc... Once you go tongs, you'll never go back. The big issues with tongs are: 1) how good is the feeling of control over the tips; 2) how small an item can you easily control; 3) how large and heavy an item can you handle with it; 4) can you lock the spring loaded hinge?; 5) are they durable? The Good Grips excel at virtually everything here - with the caveat that they not be exposed to heat over 450 or direct flame (get the ones with metal tips for that). These nylon tips are for non-stick pans. Compared to tongs with silicone tips - which are far thicker because silicon is flexible, these have far better feel and fine control. (The silicon tipped tong that comes the closest is Zyliss' Cook-n-Serve tongs). Nylon is rigid and strong, allowing the control surfaces to be very thin. I'm easily able to pick up a single sheet of paper with these. You can separate bacon slices. The classic scallop shape gives good grip without rupturing or puncturing food. You can use that grip to pick up larger pieces easily, like chicken quarters, T-bones and the like. Highly recommended. Just remember - no open flame or blazing cast iron...
Customer Review: Good feature which others lack..... Summary: 5 StarsThese tongs function well. I especially like the locking feature which can be unlocked with one hand by tapping on the counter. All brands do NOT have this. Very satisfied with these but the price went up shortly after I got mine.
