I ORDERED THIS TRASH CAN BECAUSE I LIKED THE IDEA THAT IT HELPED HOLD THE BAG SO IT WOULDN'T SLIDE DOWN INSIDE THE CAN WITH THE TRASH. THIS DOES WORK BUT AT TIMES THE GRIP WILL LET GO OF THE BAG AND I WILL HAVE TO REDO IT. THE PRICE I THOUGHT FOR A PLASTIC TRASH CAN WAS A LITTLE HIGH, BUT LOOKING AT THE ELECTRIC ONES I DECIDED IT WAS ACCEPTABLE. OVERALL, IT IS A DECENT TRASH CAN AND I DO LIKE THE FACT THAT IT IS MORE NARROW, IT SEEMS TO FIT IN SPOTS BETTER.Customer Review: Great Value for the Price

I was searching all over town and could not locate a simple, black trash can. I was not interested in paying $100 or more on a smaller, stainless steel trash can, so I hopped on Amazon. I love OXO products. This one is the right size for my husband and I, at a great price. Make sure you read other's who've posted not to throw away the step you attach to the can! I read the reviews while waiting for this to arrive and wondered to myself "yikes - what could be so bad about a label?" Well now folks, I'm reviewing this because I feel your pain. I understand your angst. And I'm here to help. :)
Removing the label is quite simple actually. First peel it off slowly, and hopefully you'll remove 50% or more of the adhesive. You don't want to rip the paper. To get the rest of the residue off, put the label back on the can. Press down over the adhesive that stuck to the can. Then pull the label off again. Don't peel it, but pull it off.
Act as if you're using masking tape to remove lint from clothing. You can even ball up the label (sticky side out) and "blot" the adhesive.
Just try it, you'll get what I'm talking about. The adhesive on the can wants to stick to the adhesive on the label in your hand more than it wants to stay on the can.
Otherwise, the trashcan is great and I'd definitely recommend it to someone.

Good size, fits the large kitchen garbage bags with no problem and the bag holder works like a charm. The square design is very compact and takes up less space than the smaller trash can I had before. The can is a black matte and very easy to clean...no fingerprints show at all. The raised lid prevents the trash from sticking to it and making a mess. The foot pedal sticks out from the can a bit, making it easy to use. Lid opens and closes smoothly. I didn't have any problems removing the sticker from the front; it just peeled off in one piece without any effort or leaving any residue. I got this can for $29 and free shipping...could not find it cheaper anywhere. Thanks Amazon!!Customer Review: Totally Happy!

I love the large capacity, it holds alot more trash. I am saving cash on fewer garbage bags to replace! The black fits right in with my kitchen decor and its not the cheap looking plastic. The Good Grips Trash Can has an attractive look to it. I am glad I bought it. Its the first time I paid more than ten dollars for a trash can! The added feature of the clip to hold the bag is a terrific idea. Its easy to keep fresh, I just use my sprayer on my sink. I highly recommend this product.
