Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Oxo Good Grips Mini Angled Measuring Cup 3-PackCustomer Review: The best at the MUCH better price! Summary: 5 StarsBecause I have trouble with my thumb joints, holding some items is painful, if not impossible. So, I jumped at the chance to buy a similar set of measuring cups at one of those "home demo" high-price cookware shows. The handle on them seemed, at the demo, easy to manage because I could rest the body of the cup(s) against the knuckles of 2 or 3 fingers, giving me a secure grip. Wrong! I failed to realize that the small, narrow rubber-covered holder on the lip required small fingers and a good grip for a secure hold. Then I discovered the OXO cups and bought them immediately; they cost less than HALF of what the home-demo cookware set cost, too. I gave the home-demo cups to my unsuspecting daughter, who quickly passed them along to my grandchildren for sandbox toys and replaced them with her own OXO cups. I've seen the OXO cups in several places, and believe me, you will NOT find them at a better price than Amazon offers, not even close! What are you waiting for? Buy--NOW!
Customer Review: Little Measuring Cups Summary: 4 StarsI do a lot of measuring and pouring of small amounts of liquid and these are the ticket for getting the job done. They could be a little less expensive. A student told me that she used Isopropyl alcohol to wash resinous matter out of one and it dissolved the lettering. This could be a problem, but I haven't run into it yet. Otherwise I recommend these.
Customer Review: These are better than the larger ones! Summary: 5 StarsI bought two sets of these, thinking I might give one set as a gift. I don't think so! They are so great, I use them all the time. The larger size is good, but cup measures are so common. It's much easier to measure a cup then a few tablespoons.
My husband loves them for mixing drinks. I use them in my cooking. I love being able to measure the tablespoons without having to do the spoon thing. So much more convenient. The other day I was making a lime vinaigrette and I needed to measure the lime juice. I just squeezed the lime directly into the cup and was even able to scrape it against the top to finish getting the last of the juice. Two tablespoons before you know it!
I wasn't sure when I bought them how much they would be used, but I can tell they are going to be a workhorse of my kitchen. I might still give the other set away as a gift, but I will always have a few of these in my kitchen.
Customer Review: Great measuring idea! Summary: 5 StarsThese are much more convenient for me; I have shaky hands and find them more easy to use than measuring spoons.
Customer Review: Great for cocktails too Summary: 5 StarsAs a home bartender I find this cup much preferable to using a jigger. Those whose tastes tend away from classic proportions might want something larger, but for everyone who has learned it's about quality rather than quantity, these are ideal.
