In either case your problems are solved, thanks to OXO.Nonstick for easy cleanup and even dishwasher-safe, this 12-inch rolling pin has contoured handles for a safe, comfortable grip, with the handles raised to protect hands and knuckles from striking a countertop or pastry board. Because they're weighted, the handles always remain in the raised position. One handle has a hanging-hole, so the rolling pin can be stored conveniently. The barrel measures 2-1/2 inches in diameter, and it rolls smoothly thanks to rugged, long-lasting nylon bearings.
