I adore garlic. I put it nearly everything. My garlic press is one of the most used utensils in my kitchen, so it needs to be strong, easy to use, and easy to clean. This garlic press impresses. I could never ever ever use another. I have traveled with it so that I don't have to use an inferior press. It's REALLY that good.

Being an amateur chef and loving to cook, many garlic choppers, dicers,
mincers or squeezers have come and gone through my kitchen/galley. I say
galley because I spent many years on submarines and sailors love garlic,
on almost anything. This garlic press leaves the husk and gives you fine
little pieces with the accompaning juice to add to your recipe.

I love this item. I use a lot of garlic and this comes in handy. I had purchased another garlic press that ended up breaking on me, so I definitely was in the market for a new one. I read other reviews on this items and it seems to be ok. I am glad that I purchased it. It is very sturdy and easy to clean. And of course OXO makes good products for the kitchen, so I feel it will hold up.

My wife and I cook a lot and have gone through lots of garlic presses over the years. They don't seem to hold up and eventually break. The Oxo model we recently purchased looks like it could survive a direct smart bomb hit. Looks like a keeper.
